One way or another, terror will reign tonight.

School teacher and single mom, Emma Livingston, has been through hell—and back so she thinks. While dealing with the night terrors and active imagination of her five-year old daughter, Hannah, she attempts to lead a normal life. That is, until the demon from those nightmares pays her a visit, too, and threatens both of their lives. Desperate, she reaches out for help—and finds Michael waiting.

Michael D’Angelo is known to everyone in Prophet’s Point, Arizona, as their loving elementary school principal. But to The Brethren, he is the most powerful Protector. Immortal and angelic does not mean he’s without doubts or fears, as protecting Emma and Hannah from Evil tests his ability to fight his tortured past.

As the Trinity is formed, ancient secrets are revealed and faith is tested. When a prophecy is exposed, Hannah becomes the main target and Emma wonders if a normal life will ever be possible again. Hope is like an anchor, but can a mother, her daughter, and an angel overcome the evil determined to annihilate the world?

Brandi’s Review:
I really loved this story.  And I'm not saying that even though I am a fellow Arizonian as the author and story!

This was a pretty epic tale of heaven and hell, love and hate, right and wrong and all that is what makes balance in the world! The plot and layout of the story was all very interesting and unique.  The characaters were well rounded and loveable.  I loved Michael and Hannah, but Emma was the one any mother would identify with.

Overall, great read with a beautiful ending by Deena Remiel.  Must read if you are interested in angels and everlasting love.  And the best part?  There is going to be more!

Brandi's Rating:

  1. Brandi, thank you so much for this fantastic review! I'm thrilled to have been a part of this project and to receive four stars. I look forward to bringing you more amazing stories... Relic, for example, as the second book in the series, and Elixxir, the third book. There's much more Brethren to be had. :)

  2. What can I say, I love me some Deena! Keep those books coming and I'll keep reading. :)

  3. I'm very excited for the next in the series!
