Annie's Review:
Right from the beginning Ms Pope had scored points with me. He review copy was offered in multiple formats. My Kindle can read .pdf files but you can’t scale the text to make it easier to read. I started with the .pdf file and the text was so small that I didn’t know how I was going to read it. Then I tried the .mobi format – perfect!
Once I started reading the story, I couldn’t put the Kindle down. The book is a sci-fi version of Beauty and The Beast. No singing teapots or candelabras. Instead there are breathing masks and a world of “gray and black and dark red”.
If you are looking for a story that steams up your glasses, this isn’t going to be your cup of tea. However, if you enjoy romance and mysterious aliens, get a tall glass of iced tea, sit back, relax, and start reading “Breath of Life”.
