Branching Out on the Project

We've been plugging away for a few weeks now on The One Hundred Romances Project, and I think I can safely speak for the entire review staff by saying that we're loving the variety and quality of small-press and indie romance ebooks we've been receiving! I've had my nose in yet another novel that I've had the pleasure of receiving through this blog, and am anxiously awaiting a free hour or two later tonight so I can return my attention to it.

To continue the theme of supporting the small-press and indie eRomance authors out there, and now that we've had some time to settle into the reading routine, I thought it would be a great idea to branch out a little and add another occasional feature to the blog. How about hearing from some of the authors directly, pick their brains a little?

I do love brain-picking. It's one of my favorite activities, second only to attacking a giant plate of bbq pork and mac n cheese.

Are you interested in being interviewed by The One Hundred Romances Project? We'd love to have you! We won't bite, promise. We prefer to nibble.

If you'd like to be one of our featured authors(or featured small-press eRomance publishers) and submit to a few questions, please comment below or use the review request email address listed in the sidebar, and include the following information:

Your name
eBook title (Released no earlier than October 2010 or soon-to-be-published eRomances)
Publisher
Romance sub-genre(s) of your story
Website, blog, or other online source of note that we can scour for fascinating tidbits to grill you about
Email address for us to contact you for further information.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Description:

Eden's Hell:

In the beginning…

God created man and called him Adam, a fine specimen replicated in his own image. He then created woman to ease Adam’s loneliness and named her Lillith. Unfortunately, God realized his mistake too late in giving woman free will, for she would rule her domain—not man.

When Lillith left Adam, God created another for his first-born son, and gave her the name Eve and a kingdom called Eden, but by then it was too late, for he’d unleashed Hell into the world of man.

Dark Diary:

The lives of a deranged serial killer, a seven centuries First vampire and a City of Winnipeg police detective collide in this second novel of Dawné Dominique’s The First series.

Daniella Rolfe, a seven-century old First vampire is unwittingly drawn together with a City of Winnipeg police detective, who happens to be investigating a string of some rather bizarre serial murders. It doesn’t take long for her to discover that this mere mortal man holds more power over her than any she's ever known.

And Aiden…he's only dreamed about women like Daniella.

Blood battles and broken vows are just the beginning of Daniella Rolfe’s woes.

Description:

Network news anchor Daniel Halstrom is at the top of his field, but being at the bottom of the social ladder—being a slave—makes that hard to enjoy. Especially when NewWorld Media, the company who's owned him since childhood, decides to lease him on evenings and weekends to boost their flagging profits.

Daniel's not stupid; he knows there's only one reason a man would pay so much for what little free time he has, and it's got nothing to do with his knowledge of current events. But he's never been made to serve like that before, and he fears he won't survive the experience with his sanity intact.

He finds himself in the home of Carl Whitman, a talk show host whose words fail him time and again when it comes to ordering Daniel to bed. Daniel knows what Carl wants, but it seems as if Carl isn't willing to take it, and Daniel's not willing to give it freely. His recalcitrance costs him dearly, but with patience and some hard-won understanding, love just might flourish where once there'd been only fear and pain. Can Carl become the anchor in Daniel's turbulent life, or will he end up the weight that sinks his slave for good?

Guest Post: Joanne Renaud Reviews Sympathy For The Devil

I've worked with Christine Pope (aka Joy Sillesen) on Dark Valentine magazine for the past year, and as I've gotten to know her, I've discovered that she is a very talented author. She's written a lot of great stories, but quite possibly my favorite of hers is "Sympathy for the Devil," which has just been published by Pink Petal Books.  I originally wrote this review for the Dark Valentine website, but Joey has kindly allowed me to post this review here as well.

Gabe is used to women throwing themselves at him and after a disastrous marriage, he’s learned not to trust women, especially attractive women like Summer. Intrigued despite himself, he hires her to tutor his four year old while he tours Europe. It doesn’t take long for Gabe to realize that Summer is altogether different from any woman he’s ever met.
